- San Diego Comic Con yet again has the most amazing line-up of any con this year, and Silent Boba Fett has been good enough to summarize Kevin’s schedule for the event (yep, he’ll BE THERE!) and also some other reasons you should be attending:
1:00-2:00 Kevin Smith—He’s baaaaaack! After a year off from Comic-Con, Kevin Smith makes his triumphant return, for the first time ever in the massive 6,500 seat Hall H arena! Plus, Richard Kelly (writer/director of Donnie Darko) will appear and will speak with Kevin. Richard will give a special presentation that will include his forthcoming movie and multi-media project. ed. note: With a new panel starting at 2:15 PM (see below), expect Kevin to stick to the one hour timeframe. Make those queries count.
7:00-10:00 Comic Book: The Movie—See the movie that every comic book fan is talking about: Comic Book: The Movie! Mark Hamill made his directorial debut and stars in this award-winning film (DVD Exclusive Award for Best Live-Action DVD Premier Movie). This madcap adventure to save the beloved Captain Courage comic from the evil clutches of Timely Studios also stars legendary comic voice actors Billy West, Daran Norris, Roger Rose, Jess Harnell and Donna D’Errico. Cameo appearances by Mr. Playboy Hugh Hefner, sci-fi siren Chase Masterson, director extraordinaire Kevin Smith, and legendary comic Sid Caesar round out this all-star cast. Creative Light Entertainment’s own Scott Zakarin (executive producer of CBTM) will host the free screening and will be able to answer all your questions about this hilarious pop cult movie. (Who knows? Maybe there will be some unexpected surprises!) And even though CBTM was filmed at Comic-Con, this is the first time the entire film has been screened here! Room 6CDEF

Also, Mallrats’ Michael Rooker will be on hand for the Serenity/Slither panel on Saturday, from 2:15 to 3:15 PM in Hall H.

Note: There is no official autograph session set up for Kevin, so it may be a “catch as catch can†type affair this year. Kevin may have to jet in and out, depending on his schedule. If we hear anything about definite opportunities for a signing ormeet and greet, we’ll let you know right away.
