  • Looks like the book’s so good that Kevin’s gonna do 2 more, which is outstanding news…It’s a damn shame he just can’t go on indefinitely, but the story’s gotta come to an end sometime, we suppose. Anyway, this comes from the Mighty Marvel Mailer:
DAREDEVIL GETS KEVIN SMITH FOR TWO MORE ISSUES!

Think filmmaker Kevin Smith’s run on DAREDEVIL needs to be longer?Worry no more, O’ Fearless ones! Like the rest of us, Smith just can’t get enough of the Man Without Fear and has signed on for an additional two issues! Says Smith, “The story was way too big for six or seven, so we had no choice but to go to eight. The fans have loved the book so much that we just had to continue the process.” DAREDEVIL editor and inker, Jimmy Palmiotti, agrees, “This is THE classic DAREDEVIL tale and it needs to be told in its entirety. We are therefore very pleased to announce that Kevin’s run will continue. Be afraid! Be VERY afraid!” Penciler Joe Quesada is slightly less enthusiastic, however… “I only draw the pictures that Kevin tells me to draw. I guess that basically makes me Kevin’s hired (rhymes with witch).” Don’t underestimate yourself, Joe — those are SOME pictures!

Some pics indeed…This story is INTENSE thus far. We can’t wait to read the final 5 issues. Keep up the good work, guys. It’s an excellent book through and through.

  • Howdy all. It’s almost turkey day, but we wanted to quick slip an update in before we take a little time off to spend it with the families and all…We suppose if something major happens, you’ll see some rumblings of it here, but otherwise, expect some quiet as we take a much needed breather. Ben hit the WWWBoard in a big way today for some Q&A, which we won’t even attempt to summarize here. Go over to the board and see for yourself if you’re interested. Just one story today, before we hit the road. Enjoy the holiday, and give thanks for View Askew (among other things, as well, of course):
