We realize we reported this a couple weeks ago, but now the Comics2Film website confirms Kevin & Scott as executive producers on the proposed “Preacher” flick. We’ll keep our eye on the developments of that one…
Another one of Ben Affleck‘s upcoming projects has been announced: The film’s called “Daddy And Them” and has BillyBob Thornton at the helm, who will also write the picture. This dark comedy has quite an interesting cast, featuring Ben, Brenda Blethyn, Laura Dern, Walt Goggins, Andy Griffith, Michael Jeter, Tuesday Knight, Diane Ladd, Kelly Preston, John Prine, Sandra Seacat, Billy Bob Thornton, Jim Varney. VERY IMPRESSIVE. In the film, a married couple (Thornton and Dern) come to the aid of a jailed uncle (Jim Varney).

The latest Wizard features 3 big announcements from the View Askew realm:
1) The Jay and Silent Bob San Diego ComicCon figures are listed as being in 6th place on the 1998 Hall of Fame “Best Figures” list.
2) Kevin has moved up a notch, and now resides as the #3 Hottest Writer.
3) And finally, the BIG news… Kevin will be the Guest of Honor at the 1999 Wizard World Comic Convention in Chicago, from July 16 to the 18th! They have a big photo of him along with artwork of Jay, Silent Bob, and Daredevil. The entire ad (page 161) is dedicated to Kevin & the event.
