- In our opinion, one of the best comedians of all time has to be the great George Carlin. HBO’s George Carlin Interview features some hilarious and informative Q&A with the man who’s done a fresh HBO special EVERY year for like the last 12 or something…Quite an accomplishment! George’s new special hits HBO next month, and is bound to be the funniest thing you’ve seen in quite some time. Oh, if you’re in a hurry, though, here’s JUST what he said about Dogma:
HBO : You’re in a new film, DOGMA. What is your role in it?
George Carlin : In DOGMA, I play a cardinal. I play Cardinal Glick, who is a hustler and a marketing kind of guy who is trying to upgrade the Catholic church and make everything a little breezy for the 21st century, you might say. It is a wonderful film about Catholic theology. Chris Rock is also in the film. So are Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, among a few other people.
