  • Wanna save a TON on the Clerks DVD? We can’t cuz we already pre-ordered from Ken Crane’s, but Reel.Com has a mistake in their pricing procedure right now, which apparently rings the Clerks DVD up at a mere $17.99 if you order it! Hurry!
  • We added a few pics of Salma to yesterday’s story about here, hot from Cannes. Scroll down and check it out if you like! By the way, in addition to the pics, E! Online says:
Dogma Directed by Kevin Smith. Starring Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Linda Fiorentino, Salma Hayek, Alanis Morissette, Jason Lee.(Out of competition)

The Story: An ultrahip version of the Resurrection, with a rough-hewn Jesus trying to save the world. His J. Crew-looking angels are on board as well, battling unsavory types. I hear Martha Stewart was considered for the Devil.

The Buzz: Picks up where the controversial Jesus Christ Superstar left off. Miramax–which also annoyed religious types worldwide with Priest–is at it again. The trouble is made all the more devlish by parental unit Disney. Expect a Pope-tart. (What doesn’t burn him?)

  • Could this be Affleck‘s next? This just in:

Clooney will play the ship’s captain. Ben Affleck is reportedly being considered to play a member of the crew. (Most of the actual crew were in their late teens and early twenties.)

May 19th @ 12:00 am | No Comments » | Scooped by Dave Fox, Paul & Glenn Barbis

  • Earlier today, Joey Q got back to us with word on DD#7’s status, so we wanted to update you ASAP. The book will NOT be out tomorrow, as we feared. He also stated that It will be leaving Marvel the week of June 4th or June 10th, but that this means nothing since issue 6 took six weeks to be printed from the time it left Marvel! Yikes! Anyway, we’ll keep ya posted on when to expect the next book, but it’s gonna be a while. Many of you also wrote in to confirm this, so thanks!

Another Dogma Review…

  • Yet another Dogma review rolls in courtesy of AICN. This is actually a bit different due to it being from a female perspective, which we believe is the first. There’s definitely a mixed perspective here, though overall she definitely seemed to enjoy the film.

  • We’ll spare you the long, detailed Star Wars: TPM review that so many siteops are throwing out there and just say this: The movie was fantastic, and totally worth the wait. Critics be damned. The flick delivered what was expected of it, and was a lot of fun to boot. ‘Nuff said. Now, on with the show:
