Cartoonists and animators, whether professionals or students, are eligible for a $25,000 grand prize and one-year contract in the international contest.
Making the contest truly multimedia, entries can be submitted in all media formats, including Shockwave, Flash and videotape, along with traditional pen and ink.
Also judging the contest are Michelle Urry, Playboys cartoon editor, and Jay Boersma, creative director of Playboy.com.
Besides the $25,000 cash prize and contract, the grand-prize winner also will have his or her work displayed on Playboy.com and in the pages of Playboy magazine. Five other contestants will receive honorable mentions, and will have their work displayed on the website and in the magazine. All entries must be received by April 1, 2000.
