- Kevin’s the subject of a new interview at DVD.COM, where he’s asked a lot of questions regarding the Mallrats disc and the upcoming Dogma and Amy DVDs. The interivew’s a good one, which gets in-depth on Kev’s thoughts on each of the special edition laserdiscs and DVDs of his flicks, working with Criterion, release dates for the upcoming stuff, and more. Here’s probably the biggest revelation:
Q: Have you guys considered doing the two-disc special edition approach? That seems to be popular now.
A: I think that’s what we’re talking about for the special edition of Dogma in October. It may have to be two discs. We’ve got over 90 minutes of cut footage and there are a ton more of other things. J.M. Kenny, who did the documentary for Mallrats, is also one of the producers on the special edition version of Dogma, so there’s an original documentary there as well. Universal and Columbia TriStar are the two studios that have really been good with us about these kinds of things. So it will probably be a two-disc set.
