- Well folks, another week of News Askew behind us, and just one month between now and what’s sure to become another famous event in Askew history, Vulgarthon 2000. We’ve got our reservations all set at the ‘ol Holiday Inn and look forward to meeting many of you there. It’s been fairly quiet regarding news on the ‘thon itself, but we’re sure that will change a the event draws near.
Has anyone been reading the reviews going around about Aronofsky‘s “Requiem For A Dream”? Sounds fantastic! If anyone’s got a screener tape of this flick they wouldn’t mind passing on, I assure you it won’t leave these walls, and I’ll still pay the 8 bucks to see it theatrically too. The flick wowed audiences in Toronto and sounds like one that’s too cool to have to wait for.
Oh, and in TV news – It was announced tonight that Eddie won the first US Big Brother competition. Good for him. He was the only of the bunch who wasn’t afraid to admit he came into the house to win the money, not just “for the experience”. No way would any sane person go without TV for 3 months just “for the experience”. 🙂
There’s a smattering of stuff today, including some more sketchy details on the Bloomsburg University appearance, and just a couple newsbites. Have a great weekend folks, see ya next update:
