- Well, a bit of bad news today. Vincent’s announced that “A Better Place” will be slightly delayed again. Keep in mind this has nothing at all to do with his or Synapse’s work, but rather, delays at the production plant. He does a good job explaining why you’ll hafta wait another month, and seriously, it’s not that long of a delay anyway:
Okay, everybody here is gonna hate me, but I really don’t care, things suck enough for me now, so why should this be any different? The A BETTER PLACE DVD will *NOT* make the June 19th date – we struggled valiantly to make that date, and I really wanted it to come out on that date – I figured it’d be a nice 1/2 punch with that one week and the DOGMA S.E. the next – but we ran into problems authoring which has delayed the shipment of the DLT master tapes to the pressing plant in Taiwan. On top of that, the pressing plant is booked solid by “bigger, more important” clients so the little guys like Synaspe have gotten pushed a bit on their schedule. The upshot is that a new release date of July 24th looks to be the right one. At least that gives you guys a chance to exhaust all the extras on your DOGMA S.E.s before you get A BETTER PLACE, and there’s a chance we’ll actually get the pressed discs in time to make a July 17th date, but we’re builing an extra week in this time JUST IN CASE because as with everything else in my life, something always seems to go wrong. God hates me, please forgive me. Vincent
Hey, what’s another month, right? And like Vincent says, with the Dogma SE DVD on your shelf, you’ll have enough to keep you occupied anyway. We’ll keep you posted on the disc’s release, and hopefully have a really nice preview for ya in a few weeks. Hang in there!
