- Hey, folks! First of all, we’re happy ‘cuz we got NEWS today! Yup, lots of it. At least compared to the last few days. And even cooler than that, we celebrated another milestone: Hit number 13 MILLION. Congrats to DEAN MORRISON for not only hitting the magic number, but for having the tools and talent for sending us his screenshot. We’re having the powers that be look through the ‘ol prize closet to see if we’ve got something cool to send on to Dean. It always pays to be a News Askew reader! Alright then, let’s see what else is going on. New Matrix movie this week. Does anyone care? Sure, it’s a GOTTA see, so it’ll make it’s money, but it’s not the same after Revolutions — Return of the King should prove much more satisfying next month, and with Kill Bill Volume 2 in the tail end of winter, followed by Jersey Girl in early spring, well, it’s one of the most exciting film times in recent memory. So, of course, watch us here as we start to gear up on our JG coverage as the release creeps up. Stuff’s gonna speed up, and we’ll be here to cover it all. And as always, expect lots of surprise announcements and big news along the way — After all, we’re still waiting to hear what Kevin’s got in store for us next, will it still be Fletch? Time will tell. Stick around. It’s gonna be an exciting few months.
By the way, finally, because we’re in such a jovial mood, TalkBack registration is back. Please, let’s take care of our talkbacks. Be good. Enjoy. Let’s go.

- AICN’s got a review of Ben Affleck’s upcoming film, “Paycheck”. It’s an action flick directed by John Woo and based on a Phillip K. Dick story, which really is a nice 1-2 punch on paper. But do they pull it off? The review claims the dialogue suffers, but that Ben is charming and the action is top notch Woo that we’ve grown to know and love. Check it out HERE.
- This one sounds familiar to us, but oh, what the hell – Let’s run it anyway! There’s apparently a fan-made, but unfinished, Bluntman & Chronic video game that you can actually download and try! Snoogans.
- Wanna see what the Project Greenlight people are up to next? “Project Runway”, anyone? Man, wouldn’t ya pay just about anything to watch Chris Moore critique supermodels? That’d be friggin fantastic.
- Hey all your Region 4 DVD’ers — And you know who you are — Wanna know how your new Mallrats SE DVD stacks up against our region one disc? Check out the review. The disc streets in Australia on November 19th. Yeah, you want it.
- Apparently, there’s a character in the new Tony Hawk’s Underground video game that many folks think is a likeness of Jay. No screenshots here or any real evidence, but we’ve gotten enough mail about it that we figured we’d at least mention it.

- And finally today, it wouldn’t have been Halloween here at News Askew without a few Halloween costume shots. So check out Joli as Jay, an unknown dude as Buddy Christ, and hit Files Askew for a newly designed version of the printable Nails cigarette carton. And feel free to send all those unwanted chocolate bars this way. Actually, don’t — There’s plenty already.
