- Keep an eye on IFC (in between the fine movies and shows) and you might catch a new Target commercial featuring both Kevin and Jason Lee. The ad has Lee driving around town shopping his new script and making pen marks on a map (very Drawing Flies-esqe) to form the Target logo. Near the end, after not having much success, Lee bumps into Kevin and they have an exchange. If we manage to get a capture, we’ll let you know, of course.
- MSNBC picked up a fairly dated (by a few weeks) about.com blurb from Kevin’s interview in a column this week:
Don’t look for Chevy Chase in the “Fletch†sequel. “Jersey Girl†director Kevin Smith is writing and directing the sequel to 1985 comedy staring Chase, but Smith says he hasn’t even talked with the Saturday Night Live alum about the film. “I don’t think Chevy Chase likes me anyway which is fine,†Smith told About.com. “The feeling’s mutual.†. .
- There’s going to be a midnight screening of Mallrats at the Esquire theater in Denver, Colorade on Saturday, July 30th. Rats at midnight? Now THAT’S a party! Details HERE.
- And finally, the fun one of the day — Ever wonder how J&SBSB ranks in film history when it comes to the “F†bomb? Wikipedia has your answer. Oh, and there’s a couple more of your faves a bit further down the list. Go for the record, Kev!!!! See ya next time!
