Meanwhile, Box Office Report have posted their weekend forecast, but hopefully we can do even better than that. In some areas, we’re still receiving reports that the film has been coming in at #1 locally.
- Filmforce.Ign.com has a poll on what movie people are going to see over the weekend. Right now J&SBSB leads the way with 36.4% Jeepers Creepers is a distant 2nd with 26.2%. Maybe we’ll see a jump in sales this weekend!
- Speaking of the flick, check out this new print ad for the movie. This is the best so far, really, capitalizing on Affleck & Damon’s appearances, the light saber stuff, and the surprise cameos. Check out the Afroman mention in the corner, and note the use of the American Pie cast members in the new print ad. You can definitely see the wheels turning there. Hopefully it’ll bring some nice box office in this weekend.
- Ebert and Roeper will finally review “Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back†on this weekend’s show. It’s syndicated, so check your local listings to find it. Details HERE.
- In other review news, Rotten Tomatoes now have over 130 reviews listed on their site, which you can read HERE. Here’s a few other interesting areas they’ve got as well:
We’ve stored tons of reviews in our Forums area, and also have archived all the press stories from the past few weeks over at our Scooping The Monkey website.
- Yesterday’s IMDB poll asked which movie has the “best disgruntled customer scene. Clerks was one of the choices for “the guy that loses his keysâ€. Surf over to check out the results. There was some tough competition there.
- Box Office Mojo’s soundtracks area reports that Jay & Bob have darted up to #3 on the soundtracks chart. Also, if you’re up for an interesting little read, check out this article about the “Plastic Jesus†song that was discovered on Napster and now appears in the film.
- Film Threat is running an ode to swearing in the movies, written by Chris Gore and featuring Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, and also a glowing review of Clerks. Check them out at their site.
- The Blackwell Star Cinema in Kennesaw, GA is screening Chasing Amy and Dogma back to back at 7:10 nightly, for only $5. It’s right down the street from a theatre showing J&SBSB, so if you’re in the area, you can plan a VA triple feature for yourself. You can get showtimes and directions at www.ajc.com.
- Popular rookie underground movie review site Movie Freak has a very brief question and answer session with Kevin Smith. The interview and subsequent review are obviously from a fan’s perspective, and even include a couple references to last year’s Vulgarthon.
