- Check out page 28 of the March 2001 issue of Mademoiselle Magazine for a blurb and photo of Jason Lee. Lee is mentioned as “Hollywood’s hot new hyphenate” because of his reputation as a skater-turned-star. The cover features Lee’s co-star in “Heartbreakers”, Jennifer Love Hewitt.
- Finally today, speaking of “Heartbreakers”, the verdict is in as a couple readers checked out the sneak preview of the film last night. Here’s what they had to say:
I am a huge Jason lee fan and bought tickets to see the preview of his new film Heartbreakers. We declared it guys night out and me and 3 of my friends ventured out to see the film. I was totally surprised. I thought that I dropped $8.25 to see Lee, but was actually shocked that it was a terrific flick. Lee’s dialogues is hilarious and he and Jenifer Love Hewitt complimented each other perfectly. Weaver, Hackman, and Liotta also played killer roles and anyone who is a movie buff should see this one. Hats off to Lee for showing he can play different roles and be considered a legit actor.
I just came back from it, and it was great. It’s a really funny, enjoyable flick, and a nice way to spend a weekend.
Jason Lee has a pretty major role, and it’s a safe bet that if the film hits it big, so will Lee. It’s a great performance, Lee plays the “nice guy” perfectly, and some of his scenes with Hewitt are HOT.
Overall, really funny flick. Everyone involved does a good job. This isn’t really hard news, so I’m not writing a full review, but suffice to say it’s a fun way to spend two hours.
There ya have it, folks. Sounds like one worth checking out.
