- Many of you heard Kevin’s unannounced (at least, one we didn’t know about) on New York’s afternoon radio drivetime show “Opie & Anthony”. Sorry we didn’t have notice of this appearance up for you to catch. We’d previously heard of these guys only through Howard Stern, who doesn’t much care for them (because they stole his format, basically, though we hear they’re big fans of Howie’s). At any rate, here’s a summary of the 10 minute appearance, courtesy of their message board:
As you may know, our hero Kevin Smith did a little 10 minute interview with O&A on the phone. He was on basically to talk about “Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back”. He said filming will end in March, and he will try to make a live appearance in the studio then. He also said the release date for the film is August 10.
They also talked about actor and comedian Jay Mohr. Jay is a frequent guest on O&A and Kevin met with him about VA5. Jay convinced Kevin to call up O&A. Kevin says that Jay won’t be in VA5, but Kevin said that him and Mosier think he is perfect for a role in Fletch.
Anthony said he loves Kevin’s Star Wars references and thinks he smokes a lot of weed. Kevin then pretended he didn’t understand what “weed” was. It was pretty funny.
That was it, O&A had to let Kevin go because they had to talk to a girl who has a weird knife fetish. But look for a future relationship between Kevin and Opie and Anthony.
