- Seems that Miramax/Disney/Buena Vista are at least SAYING they’re gonna do right with their upcoming Collectors Series of DVDs. According to a DVD File story today, they’re going to indeed, as we’d hoped, release Clerks, and even hint at a Chasing Amy release somewhere down the road!
However, the question of arrival date for these is an issue, and there are no set dates yet, including Clerks, which will no longer make the original 6/29/99 date. However, I am assured that all these titles are in development, and though it seems unlikely they will all be released in 1999, we should see them on DVD hopefully over the course of the next several months.

Also on the docket are many other oft-rumored titles, including Chasing Amy (which as of now has not been licensed to Criterion).
Again, we like to think the Clerks stuff got re-thought of after our write-in campaign…But of course no one from Disney ever got in touch with us about it, so who knows? The Amy news is definitely new to us.
