- Amazon’s UK site is now indeed listing a Region 2 Clerks DVD (although it’s not listed as Clerks X yet, just as a Special Edition). Seems our report rang true!
The set has a listed release date of July 18, 2005, with an RRP of £17.99 (before the usual Amazon discount). Good news indeed!
- We were reminded that Kevin blogged, in his May 5th entry, that he will skip the Skywalker Ranch screening premiere of Sith, more than likely. So, yesterday’s MTV story stating he’d be in attendance may not ring true (though looking back, it just lists him as an “invited guest”). So, there ya go.
- A Star Wars fan film’s budget is likened to what Kevin spent to make “Clerks” in this USA Today article.
Kevin is ALSO name-checked in an article on developing new home gaming consoles at news.com. Seems the X-Box creator likened a new content system for game developers to Kevin’s “Clerks” entrepreneurship:
He likened the pilot idea to the way “Clerks” director Kevin Smith came from nowhere to make a hit movie funded on credit cards at the same time studio budgets were routinely crossing the $100 million.
- Damon and Affleck were lampooned on last weekend’s “Family Guy” episode. The joke had Damon writing the Good Will Hunting script with Affleck begging to be added to the credits.
