• Yet again, our new best friend Albert Ortega comes through for us (and you!) with some fantastic shots taken at the big Mallrats screening/reunion/Q&A earlier this week. Word has it that the entire cast and crew were kind enough to hang around, chat, and sign autographs for the over 400 in attendance. Click the photos above for a closer look at all your favorites. • Yes folks, we can’t print ‘em fast enough to get them to you!!! Kevin’s book, “Silent Bob Speaks”, in a matter of weeks, has gone to a THIRD PRINTING. Yes, you read that right. We’ve gotta run back to the press AGAIN to make more of these things! So, hang onto those earlier signed editions, you got collector’s items on your hands there. Congratulations to Kevin on the great success in this venture.

• Kevin’s fast becoming a King of all media in his own right, yet again taking to the FM broadcast airwaves, this time, right in his hometown of Los Angeles. KLSX 97.1, tomorrow night (Saturday), local time 11pm to 2am. Tune in and see what the man’s got in store for you this time around. Non-locals: Check with us this week, as we suspect we’ll have a nice little commercial-free capture of it here for your enjoyment.

• One of the things that struck us as super-cool when walking around the Westwood Stash a few weeks back were the videos they’ve got playing on the plasma TVs around the joint. It’s like a “best-of” moments of uncensored View Askew greatness, on a constant loop, unlike anything ever seen before. The dude behind that coolness, Mattt Potter, created them, and Kevin now has those videos available on Movies Askew, for your enjoyment. Here’s Kevin:

When we opened the Westwood, California chapter of Jay and Silent Bob’s Secret Stash, I asked Movies Askew Maven Mattt Potter to throw together some ads and fun stuff for the in-store reel – a looping video that would play on the store’s TV’s. What Mattt delivered were these awesome Chuck Workman-like vignettes that made me dig my flicks even more than I already do (and, Lord knows, I’m a self-loving fat fuck). Until now, only folks who visited the Stash in L.A. were able to check these out. Now, you can peep ‘em exclusively here, at Movies Askew.

• Seems this is one rumor that may start taking on a life of its own: Moviehole has picked up the IESB story that suggests Kevin MAY write/direct an arc on the new Star Wars TV series. Please remember, NO DEALS have been announced and this is pure speculation at this time. As much as we’d like to see it, as it stands, nothing has been officially announced.
• This Staten Island Advance article reveals that the “Dinner For Five” episode hosted by Kevin will be the show’s season finale.
• Kevin’s “Sith” review gets a brief mention in a column at ESPN.COM today. Thanks for stopping by today, and please do have a safe and pleasant weekend.

• Kevin has announced that the Mallrats Q&A will pretty much mark the end of the big events until this Fall, when we’ll likely have some Clerks 2-related gathering (first looks, perhaps?) and a big signing event for the upcoming DVDs. He’s also revealed that no plans are set for a Dogma or Jay & Bob 10th disc, though we’ll likely get a big Jersey Girl X disc (could that be the first time the super-long cut will see the light of day again?). Here’s Kevin:

• The ever-vigilant IESB caught Jason Mewes on camera and grilled him about Clerks 2 and Kevin’s reaction to Sith. Jay reveals that a September start date is now planned for Clerks 2. And the even bigger news? IESB reports that Kevin’s TV involvement with the Star Wars TV series MIGHT be writing and directing a 3 episode arc of the new program. We like what we’re hearing. But this is just speculative. No deals have been signed.

The movie sounds like it’s going to deliver.
