MATT DAMON, one of Hollywood’s young guns of the moment, is being hotly pursued to become Calvin Klein’s next billboard boy, posing in his skivvies. I don’t think this will occur. “Good Will Hunting’s” Damon has established himself as a serious actor / screenwriter, and it is unlikely he’d go the underwear route. Still, it is always flattering to be wanted.

SPEAKING OF Matt Damon, his former flame and Oscar-nominated “Good Will Hunting” co-star, Minnie Driver, is doing everything she can to avoid running into Matt. Theirs was a bitter split. At least, she’s bitter. Minnie and her parents walked out of the British Academy Awards ceremony in L. A. on Saturday after they spotted Matt. And though invited, Driver didn’t show up at all for Miramax’s big pre-Oscar bash on Sunday, which was said to be the most bulous, “fun” pre-Oscar event. I guess it was a good thing Minnie avoided that party. Matt showed up with Winona Ryder, looking smitten and telling pals he was “madly in love” with her.

Why disturbing, might you ask? Well, first of all…we just have no interest in seeing Matt in his undies…And, to make matters worse, Winona’s off the market now. What’s the world coming to?
