Duncan: Jay & Silent Bob #4 In September…

August 20th @ 12:00 am | No Comments » | Scooped by Duncan Fegredo

  • Artist extraordinaire and all-around-good-guy Duncan Fegredo was kind enough to check in with this report/explanation on where Jay & Silent Bob #4 has been. Take it away, Duncan:
The book is currently completely laid out and about one third inked. Kevin has been so tied up with other work that there was approximately 6 months gap between completing #3 and receiving the script for #4. In the meantime, I’ve been filling in time on other projects, having no idea when the script would finally materialise. Sods Law, contrary bugger that it is, decided that as soon as I embarked on another project, the Angels of Expedience (FedEx to the lowly) delivered unto this humble artisan The Word According To Kevin (Parte the Fourthe). So now I’m working on both at once. Now I could hack it out to get it on the shelves as soon as possible, but after all this time whats the point? I wouldn’t be happy with it and neither would any of you. Oni and I will both be pleased to see the book hit the shelves in September. Okay?

And yes, it’s bloody funny, too.

So there ya have it, folks! Look for the final chapter in the saga sometime next month.

Vulgar Pics Removed, To Be Replaced…

August 20th @ 12:00 am | No Comments » | Scooped by Brad & Chris

  • You may have noticed that the exclusive shots we ran from Vulgar yesterday are now gone, and we apologize for that. We received a couple very kind phone calls today, and we mean that, it wasn’t like a scolding or anything, just a very polite request that the pics be removed from the site because they just spoiled too much of the plot. The good news is that we’ve been promised a few different, not-so-spoiler shots from the flick, and hope to have those online for ya soon. Sorry to disappoint you, we DO run this site for you, the fans, but also do our best to keep everyone involved with the production of these films happy as well. For that reason, things like this happen sometimes. Anyway, keep watching for those other Vulgar pics, and we’ll also try and keep ya posted on all the latest that’s going on with the film. If anything, what we DID post has sparked revitalized interest in the flick over on the WWWBoard, and hopefully around the net as well. And we think that’s a very good thing.

While it really does suck to hafta take down something cool like that, we have to remember the feelings of those involved with these flicks, and those that continue to give us a reason for this site to go on. When we think of it that way, it makes it a little easier to comply. Still, it sucks. Hopefully we can replace them soon.

  • Take a peek at this backstage pass/prop for the band “Stillwater”. This is from the upcoming Jason Lee flick (directed by Cameron Crowe), courtesy of the beloved Dark Horizons website. Click to enlarge. Lee’s on the right.
  • Another chance to catch Clerks on the big screen for ya: Wehrenberg’s Arnold 14 Cine, in St. Louis, Missouri, will be showing Clerks at midnight tonight (8/20) and tomorrow (8/21).
  • Could Donohue’s Dogma protests FINALLY be slowing with Disney out of the picture and no easy targets left? Perhaps. This brief comes to us from yesterday’s New York Daily News:
Controversy will be onscreen during the 37th annual New York Film Festival when the religious satire “Dogma” is shown, but there may not be many protesters outside the theater. William Donohue of the Catholic League, which has been lobbying against the movie for months, yesterday said that his group will not picket the festival. “I don’t want to get into the business of which theater is going to pick [”Dogma”] up,” Donohue said.

Have a nice weekend. Let’s be careful out there.
