More Vulgarthon Tidbits…

  • We were hoping to save these new tidbits for the Vulgarthon 2000 wrapup page, but since that’s still not completed (but should be sometime today), and lots of folks are writing in to make sure we mention this stuff, we figured we’d give you these interesting news items here on the front page in the meantime:
  • Kevin stated that he wouldn’t want to do Fletch Lives without Jason Lee in the main role. He also mentioned he’s got a 50 page draft of something he might want to do after View Askew 5 if Fletch doesn’t work out. This may be linked to the next bullet below. We’ll see what happens with Fletch, but at this point it doesn’t seem like anything is definite as far as Kevin & Jason’s involvement with that movie.
  • The planned flick to follow View Askew 5 is being referred to as “Clerks: Sell Out”. This is a hard-R-rated, animated Clerks flick about how Dante and Randal make a black and white movie based on their experiences at the Quick-Stop. Word has it that Miramax LOVED the cartoon and went crazy about Kev’s proposal for the movie. This would be fantastic. The Askewniverse lives!
  • A Bluntman & Chronic mini-comic series (along with the aforementioned action figures) will tie into View Askew 5, which will have a 6 word title (some are speculating it MIGHT be “The Adventures of Bluntman & Chronic”). We’ll see. Rememeber where you read it first!
