  • Micro-Film is a very cool indie movie magazine that covers the TRUE indies out there. The first two issues were quite impressive, and packed with tons of exclusive information and interviews that you just can’t see anywhere else. Issue #3 is going to be something the View Askew collector wants to pick up, as it features an exclusive interivew with Vincent Pereira, celebrating the soon to be released “A Better Place” DVD. SOON, we mean that! Those that attended or read about this past year’s Vulgarthon know that the flick was all the rage. Here’s details:
Exciting features in MICRO-FILM #3 include an exclusive interview with View Askew Productions’ Vincent Pereira on his dark teenage drama A BETTER PLACE, coming to DVD through Don May’s Synapse Films … Troma Team head honcho Lloyd Kaufman gives us the skinny on TERROR FIRMER … “Low Hug” editor A.j. Michel dispenses insight on a pair of modern punk films, Esther Bell’s GODASS and Katie Nisa & Matt Pizzolo’s THREAT … Chicago filmmakers Ken Mader and Frank Kurtz unleash an old-fashioned CARNIVORE … The potential nightmare of switching from film to digital projection gets the once-over during a panel discussion at Roger Ebert’s annual film festival … Better than Al Capone’s barren vault, the legend of BAD CHARLESTON CHARLIE is rediscovered … and the requisite rants, reviews, Slates, and much more!
