J&SBSB: Vista Series DVD This February?

  • Well, it seems that The Digital Bits is now reporting that the Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back DVD, set for release on February 12th, will indeed be the Special Edition! Likely, this will be a release under their “Vista Series” banner, of which the very cool “Unbreakable” disc is currently a part of. However, please note that Buena Vista have listed this release date as UNOFFICIAL, and given the fact that we haven’t heard much of anything about the documentary, extra scenes, commentary, and the like, look for either this release to get bumped back, OR for a scaled down product in February. We could be wrong though, and there may be a lot more done on this disc that we know. We’ll do some digging. Kevin, Vincent, Malcolm – Any info for us?

No Lee At V3…

  • Jason Lee is currently in Vancouver, working on an untitled comedy flick before moving to “Dreamcatcher”. Back to back flicks, busy guy these days! Anyway, sadly due to this commitment, it seems that he’s going to miss appearing at our back to back Vulgarthons in early 2002. SO, briefly, he revealed in this recent post:
Unfortunately…..I won’t be at Vulgarthon. I will however be speaking, via video.

The video is a cool thing, and seems to indicate that Kevin and crew have more than just one celebrity video planned for us this year…Should be a blast. We’re sure some other celebs will be there in person for the fun, and we’re thinking that the program might include some other rarities…Perhaps that elusive Dogma documentary? Stay tuned, more info as we uncover it.

  • And finally today, some bad news for those of you looking forward to Damon & Affleck’s “The Third Wheel” project according to TV Guide:
ILL WILL HUNTING: There doesn’t seem to be too much good will between Matt Damon and Miramax – the studio that released his breakthrough hit, Good Will Hunting. At a weekend press conference for Ocean’s 11, Damon all but confirmed that the company dropped his upcoming film, The Third Wheel, because it didn’t meet expectations. “I don’t know if they had a thing with the director [Jordan Brady] or what the deal is,” he said of the pic, in which he co-stars with his Hunting pal Ben Affleck (they serve as producers as well). “I don’t know if they’ll hold strong on that position or where they’re at with it, really. I haven’t talked to them about that in a while. But is it remarkable to me? You know, at the end of the day, no, nothing’s remarkable to me anymore – especially when it comes to Miramax!” (Ouch!)
