• The first photo of Ben Affleck as Daredevil & Jon Favreu as Foggy Nelson (from the new Daredevil movie, of course) has been released. Thanks to AICN and People Magazine for the photo.
• A fan’s report from the field: 311’s opening band, “Zebahead” decided to treat the crowd to some of their “new material” at a recent concert, at which point the band broke out in a new rendition of “Jay’s Chant 2001″. Afterward, the lead singer asked “Anybody know what movie that’s from?” and it was apparent that most of the crowd did.
• Chasing Amy, Clerks, and J&SBSB are all on the Top 5 list of DVD sales at Suncoast Video currently.
• Check out the Bravo TV website for a poll asking which Ben Affleck film is your favorite. There’s a lot of View Askew choices there.
• And finally today, an Associated Press story on pirated, illegal DVDs in China talks about how the packaging humorously screws up the facts and stars in the improperly translated English. They list some movies and the oddball descriptions the Chinese give them, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back is among the films mentioned:
