- We’d like to take this opportunity to wish everyone out there a very Happy Thanksgiving. So often we tend to focus on everything that we don’t have, or things that we want, and lose sight of all the wonderful things that we DO have in our lives. So today, be thankful for all the good stuff, whether it’s your family, friends, favorite pet, a good meal, anything at all. Today’s the perfect day to just sit back and reflect on all that we have, and how lucky we truly are. Our very best to you and yours!

Roadside Attractions Returns Dec 13th!
- We’ve just received preliminary word that Kevin is set for another Tonight Show appearance! This one will be for another “Roadside Attractions” segment, though we’re not sure which footage they’re using this time around. The appearance is scheduled for Friday, December 13th (oooh, Friday the 13th), just a couple of weeks away. We’ll keep you posted if that changes. Until then, get ready to set those VCRs or Tivos!
More “Jen Saves Ben” Pics!
- News is continuing to run all over the place regarding the “Jen Saves Ben” videogame that Kevin presented to Affleck and Lopez when Jersey Girl wrapped. A Chicago Fox news station even featured footage of the actual game in a news report! We’ve got a lot more today, including some new pics from the game, the set, and the first look at ANOTHER custom game that looks like it’s been created exclusively for inside of Jay & Silent Bob’s Secret Stash! Click the shots above for a closer look at them, as well as a newspaper clipping from British tabloid “The Daily Star”.
Also, be sure and visit Powerhouse Animation’s website (also home to the famous “Heroes” Clerks spoof) for more pics, links, and details about the “Jen Saves Ben” game! Thanks also to Matt Damon Fan Page for more photos.
Notice that “Secret Stash” videogame up above? Looks like that one’s headed for that very place! If you needed another reason to go into Red Bank to visit the Stash, there it is! Wonder if it’ll take quarters or be set up for Free Play?

- Chasing Amy shows up in one of the user-created editions of The Invisibiles. Can you find the frame?
- Finally today, has TBS stolen the Mallrats 2: Die Hard In A Mall idea? Sounds awfully familar. Enjoy the holiday, and we’ll see ya next time.
Auctions Askew Week 29 Is Here!

Ben & J-Lo Videogame Screenshots!
- We really wanted to see these too — Ya know that videogame we mentioned that Kevin had custom made as a gift for Ben & Jen following Jersey Girl? Well, Animation Magazine’s daily newsletter actually presented a few screen captures from that very game — Sorry they’re so small, but you can at least get an idea of how it looks now. Fun stuff. We still wanna play.

- Is View Askew’s Brian Lynch actually co-writing Scary Movie 3? Very cool news! Maybe now this one will actually be funny as opposed to that last one:
Pat Proft, Brian Lynch and Craig Mazin will write the script for the sequel, which Dimension expects to begin lensing by February. Meanwhile, Keenen Ivory, Marlon and Shawn Wayans (news) are warming up a spoof project of their own with Sony-based Revolution Studios (Daily Variety, Nov. 20).
Proft is a veteran of the slapstick genre who worked with “Scary Movie 3” director David Zucker (news) on both 1988’s “Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!” and the 1996 picture “High School High.” His other credits include the “Police Academy” franchise and “Real Genius.”
Mazin’s credits include the Marlon Wayans (news)-David Spade (news) comedy “Senseless” and the 1997 comedy “Rocket Man.” Meanwhile, Lynch wrote and directed 1999’s “Big Helium Dog” and last year set up the script “Miller Minogue” with Landscape Entertainment.
Dimension plans to have its movie out in theaters as early as next fall. The original “Scary Movie” grossed $157 million; its sequel made $71 million.
- The splash page for ADV Films’ latest promotional website, Sakura Wars features a takeoff/parody of the Dogma SE DVD cover. View it full size HERE.
- And finally, one for the ladies, from today’s edition of Empire Online in the UK:
For not content at becoming part of the huge promotional machine of J.Lo Inc by appearing in the video for his big-bottomed fiancee’s current single “Jenny From The Block,” Ben Affleck has stooped even lower in Empire Online’s already pitifully meagre expectations. The recently deemed “Sexiest Man” in the world is to get completely starkers for his woman by appearing naked in ads to launch Lopez’s new aftershave, which – get this – is hilariously called Man.
Obviously suffering no compunctions at stripping for money, the ad will feature Affleck totally nekked in the shower – with his starry private parts suitably obscured by cleverly arranged puffs of steam. How very tasteful.

- Good news, everyone! Those way cool bronze Jay & Bob statues from Graphitti just went DOWN in price! Yep, Graphitti Deisgns has reduced the price of each statue from $145 to $95! Sure, still a little pricey, but this is quality stuff, and saving $50 is not a bad deal at all.
- J&SBSB funny guy Will Ferrell has done two hilarious new parodies for Apple, of the Macintosh “Switch” ads, that show the…odder side of Santa. One is about Santa and Lawyers, the other is Santa’s iPod. Check them both out HERE. Ferrell originally did a parody that was never shown on Apple’s site, for the MacWorld Expo back in September, which you can look at HERE.
- Jeniffer Lopez will be appearing on the Rove Live show in Australia on the 26th of November. For more details go to www.rove.com.au.
- The latest issue (#283) of the long-running indie comic-book Cerebus features a cover made to look a bit like a movie poster that seems to have at least been influenced by Chasing Amy. Check out the scan above.
Kevin’s Gift To Ben & Jen…
- People Magazine ran this very interesting story regarding the amazing gift that Kevin presented to Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez to celebrate the wrap of filming on Jersey Girl:
As a gift, director Kevin Smith presented Lopez and Affleck with a video game featuring the two lovebirds.
By TOM CUNNEFF
It’s no Space Invaders, but J.Lo and Ben have their very own video game, thanks to Kevin Smith.
Director Kevin Smith knows how to treat his stars. To celebrate the wrap of his romantic comedy Jersey Girl on Nov. 9, Smith gave Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck a full-size video arcade machine, which plays a custom-designed video game called “Jen Saves Ben.” Smith commissioned Powerhouse Animation Studios of Austin, Texas, to create the simulation, which begins with animated figures of Lopez and Affleck out on a date. Suddenly, ninjas kidnap Affleck and the Lopez character kicks into high gear, displaying serious martial arts moves. As she sets out to rescue Affleck, Lopez fights a bionic Matt Damon and a ray gun-wielding Smith. The game’s soundtrack even features some of J.Lo’s music. All in all, it’s not your everyday PlayStation 2 title.
Ooooh…We wanna play, wanna play!

- Diamond Previews has some GREAT new shots of the Clerks Inaction Figures, and a write-up on them (keep in mind, it’s written for dealers, hence why it suggests buying them by the case):
- Salon.com has a counterpoint to Affleck being named the sexiest man of the year in People.
- And finally today, a slim reference, but still: Bob Rivers’ new CD, “White Trash Christmas” has an Afroman parody called…wait for it…’Be Claus I Got High’. Whoo. You can listen to it (and the entire album) HERE. Ho ho ho.
