March 3rd @ 10:12 pm | No Comments » | Scooped by Brad & Chris

  • Okay, you want news? We got yer news. Kevin’s been dropping some exclusive BIG info on the radio
this week, so if you’re not tuning in or downloading our archived files, this stuff is gonna blow you away! We’re through
day one of the program (Wednesday’s show), and here’s a summary of what went down that we think you’d like to know:
  • The 3 Degrassi episodes will air on Noggin, stateside, on August 12th ,19th , and 26th.
  • VULGARTHON: “Oh, What A Lovely Teaparty” is 4.5 (yes, that’s FOUR AND A HALF) hours long!!! We’re
not sure if this final version will be what eventually hits on video, but chances are this might be your only chance
to EVER see this cut. Worth the ticket price alone.
  • VULGARTHON: The not so top secret 5th Movie? Kevin’s personally cut, EXTENDED VERSION of Jersey
Girl! If this is something closer to the test screening we saw a year before the film arrived, we know fans will
truly enjoy seeing this stuff. Again, worth your ticket price!!!
  • Kevin will be receving the Independent Spirit Award from Empire Magazine when he goes to the UK next
    week.

That does it for now! More big news later…Wonder what surprises are next to come? Check below for info on how you
can listen to Friday’s show, or hear what you missed earlier in the week.

  • As you may know, Kevin’s doing his first official co-hosting gig this week, for the morning show on Alice 97.3 in San Francisco. Kevin’s been posting about the gig HERE. We’ve also got mp3 streams captured of the show for you straight ahead, as we realize that the great majority of the site’s visitors can’t hear the show on their radio. So plug your headphones into your PC’s, click below, and listen to the shows…It’ll help get you through the workday.

They’ve got a Kevin-cam up at the site, so you can actually watch AND listen (details below) if you’re at a PC. Keep in mind, the show’s times and info below are WEST COAST (so do the math).

We’re currently going through the first 2 days of shows to gather up any interesting news hints and tidbits that have been dropped along the way (in addition to the Vulgarthon pimping and general wackiness). Check back for all that good stuff soon.

  • The Futon Critic reports that Brian Lynch (whose “Big Helium Dog” we’ll screen at Vulgarthon later
this month) has gotten his interesting animated comedy greenlit for a pilot:
UNTITLED BRIAN LYNCH/CHUCK SWENSON PROJECT (FOX, New!) – Animation guru Chuck Swenson (”Rugrats”) and feature writer Brian Lynch have scored a pilot presentation order for a new animated comedy about a 31-year-old divorcee and father of three who moves his family back into his parents’ home in the near desert of California. Chris Bender and J.C. Spink’s Benderspink banner and alternative studio Fox 21 are behind the project, which came out of FOX’s Naked Angels alternative development showcase earlier this year.

Congrats Brian! We’re looking forward to hearing more on this one.

  • Seems the Zach Braff/Fletch Won news was noticed by a few outlets: Both Contact Music and UGO ran blurbs on the rumor this week.
  • That’s it for now — Stop back again soon for summaries of Kevin’s radio gigs this week, and, as it
draws closer, more reasons why you’re gonna kick yourself if you miss Vulgarthon West! Less than a month to go…
