Walt’s toadyism gives douche chills to even the most practiced ass-kisser.” If you’re not listening, you’re missing one of the top-rated comedic podcasts in the nation. Yes, Steve-Dave is a hit.
Don’t forget the newest member of the family, The “Mo and Glo” show from Toronto, Ontario, starring Malcolm Ingram and his Mom. Episode #2, “Salut and Sayanora”, went live last week. Like its brothers, this is another top-rated podcast on iTunes and well worth your valuable listening time.

The “Twitter” Report…
- After being held captive by the awesome “Breaking Bad” series on Bluray (seasons 1 and 2 now available, season 3 kicking off this Sunday, and one of the best shows on TV today)…Kevin’s back with some more love for the twitter followers, as well as this hilarious video of the man (looking quite thin these days, we might add) he contributes to the “Night of 140 Tweets” — Stick around to the end. Widening Gyre #5: 5 Free Pages – Buy Today!
- Batman “Widening Gyre” has been a landmark achievement in writing and artwork from the dream team of Smith and Flanagan. Issue #5 is now in stores, and DC Comics has treated us to a free 5-page taste of words and pretty pictures, including a look at Walt’s version of Mr. Freeze. If you’re not reading, you’re missing one of the best series ever from Kevin, whose writing is really at the top of his game. It’s also been neat to watch Walt’s artwork evolve over these series, to what we feel is one of the best styles in comics today.
“Gyre” has been full of action, twists, and major events in the Bat-verse, and should not be missed. Pick up Batman: Widening Gyre at your local comic shop — If you don’t see it, ask for it — Or directly through the Secret Stash, the greatest comic book shop in all the land.

- “Jersey Girl’s” Raquel Castro, now 16 years old (makes you feel a little old, doesn’t it?) has been pursuing music and dance, and has now debuted her first music video on YouTube which has been getting some nice feedback. JG was her breakout role, but she also recently appeared in a small role in “Brooklyn’s Finest”.
- The absolutely awesome (it just seems to get funnier every time you rewatch it) Clerks Animated Series gets much-deserved props in this Film 411 article on short-lived, but brilliant, animated classics. Here’s a snippet:
If you didn’t already know, this series is tremendous. Clerks: The Animated Series tackles a lot of the same topics as in the movies but thanks to the additional freedom that animation grants, the series shines like a freaking diamond. The humor found here is not fully like in the movie, where vulgarity and cruelness plays a big part. In the series, the jokes are expanded into unique ideas that were absolutely made for television. Jokes, references, and pop culture hysteria are quickly rattled off one after another in a hilarious string of continuance. Not to mention the fantastic jabs they take against popular sitcom devices: fake sitcom introductions (“this show was drawn in front of a live studio audience”), narrative recap devices (“previously on Clerks – beeeeeeeeeeeeeeep”), infamous television staples (such as the clip show episode being only the second episode of the series) movie spoofs (Schindler’s List + Flintstones = Flintstone’s List), and other popular culture figures.
