  • Not that it makes any of the fans feel any better, but here’s the official statement from Buena Vista on the Australian release date delay for Jay & Bob:
We have decided it was in the film’s best commercial interest to move the release to early 2002. This will enable us to build on the cult status of Jay and Silent Bob over the summer months via a sustained marketing campaign. The aim is to familiarise an even larger percentage of Australian cinema-goers to this comedic phenomenon. We also expect the move will serve to build anticipation amongst Jay and Silent Bob’s many devotees.

We hope that you’re still amongst the first to see the film on the big screen.

Fans in Israel are more fortuate, as the film’s opening up there this weekend, and local newspapers have been running articles on the film (in Hebrew, no less). Good stuff.

  • Kevin is one of the interviewees on an upcoming PBS show called “Inside Reel: Digital Filmmaking.” (They’re also talking to Joel Silver, Atom Egoyan, John Frankenheimer, Oliver Stone, Tim Burton, and Robert Zemeckis.) It’s airing in L.A. on 11/27, although that may not be the schedule for the whole country. Check your local listings.
  • You can catch a rerun of the Conan O’Brien episode that featured the Dogma clip and FX guy this Wednesday at 3 AM on most NBC affiliates.
  • Loews Cineplex Catalina Theaters will be showing Clerks this Friday and Saturday at midnight in Tucson, Azizona.
  • Finally, a bit more insight on Kevin’s appearance at Megacon in Orlando – His panel will take place on SATURDAY, February 23rd.
