  • Joblo have placed ALL their San Diego Comiccon coverage online at their site, along with coverage of Kevin’s epic-length panel, which you can read HERE. Don’t skip over this one, it’s the most extensive coverage we’ve seen of the Q&A session yet.
  • Here’s the official dates and times for the upcoming Wizard World event in Chicago, just days before J&SBSB is released! Kevin and Jay are scheduled to appear, where they’ll almost certainly have tickets for a screening and some clips of the new flick:
10:00 am-6:00 pm Friday, Aug. 17
10:00 am-6:00 pm Saturday, Aug. 18
10:00 am-5:00 pm Sunday, Aug. 19
  • Chalk up more big internet buzz on the film: Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back is the #1 most requested Movie trailer at www.filmspeed.com. It certainly seems that the flick’s won the internet crowd on this one, hands down.
  • This week’s episode of Movie Television on CityTV in Canada has a short bit about J&SBSB. Not too much new information, but a very short interview with Kevin where he talks about how far he’ll take the hilarity in a movie, and the future of Jay & Silent Bob. It’ll be re-played at 8:00 on Tuesday.
  • A few folks have been sending in this article on Affleck’s hair color change, which mentions the film as well, so we figured we may as well put it up:
Ben Affleck Goes Bottle Blond

NEW YORK (AP) – Ben Affleck didn’t bleach his hair just to have more fun. The dark-haired, 28-year-old actor went blond earlier this month for a project he’s planning with his younger brother, Casey, and friend Matt Damon – a movie spoofing boy bands like ‘N Sync. “I dyed my hair for photo tests,” Affleck told Us Weekly magazine for its Aug. 6 issue. “I kept it because when am I ever going to be blond again?” Affleck and Damon won Oscars for their original screenplay for the 1997 movie “Good Will Hunting.” They also co-starred in Kevin Smith’s 1999 film “Dogma,” and are part of the huge cast for Smith’s new movie “Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back,” opening Aug. 22.

  • The FX channel is re-running the Making of Planet of the Apes special that Kevin had that small snippet in, in case you want to catch it. Check your listings. With the film taking off so well, it might run more this week.
  • This small blurb from an article on Shannen Doherty appears in the new Details magazine:
Doherty’s delights were not lost on Kevin Smith, who first hired her for 1995’s Mallrats. “She was the best person who came in,” he says, “and we saw a lot of people, including Alyssa Milano.” In Jay and Silent Bob, Smith has cast Doherty as …her own persona. “Everyone loves a villain. Based on what she went through on 90210, it’s easy to believe she’s a bitch,” he says, “and it’s not like she didn’t necessarily earn it. Do I think she’s a bitch? Absolutely not.”

  • Finally today, talk about a real fan! Check out this tattoo. Wow. Now that’s devotion.
