• It’s been a quiet, calm Thursday so far…We considered leaving these small stories go until tomorrow, but usually when we do that all hell breaks loose, so we’re playing it safe this time. With most of our favorite TV shows in rerun city due to the holidays, it looks like we’ll have some more spare time to get our own shopping done as well as put some work into the site.

Oh, and speaking of TV, since we’ve got a few minutes here…Buffy‘s been kicking ass lately, definitely one of the best shows on TV. Angel also has its moments, it’s a must-watch after Buffy, though a recent turn of events with one of the show’s main characters (and his replacement) has us worried a bit. We’ll be watching. As for X-Files, the mythology episodes (the premieres) sucked, though the last couple weeks of standalone “monster” type episodes have been quite good. As we mentioned yesterday, South Park‘s still a lot of fun, weirder than ever, and even though we’re sure the general populace is getting sick of the kids, some of the recent episodes (The Civil War & Christmas episodes in particular) have been absolute gems. Friends & The Simpsons have been consistently enjoyable, which we expected. Also, if you’re not watching it, and a Simpsons fan, check out Futurama. It seemed like it could go either way after the pilot, but it’s been getting better and better as the writers work in some of those obscure references and great Simpsonesque gags that make classic episodes. We dig it. Plus, HBO will be starting The Sopranos back up in January, and we can’t wait. HBO really puts out some amazing television, worth the monthly cable bill alone.
