  • Those “Clerks” screenings continue popping up all over the country! The State Movie Theater in downtown Ann Arbor, MI at the corners of State and Liberty is going to be having a FREE midnight showing of Clerks late Friday night, September 3rd! It’s being advertised for college students but all are welcome. Sounds like a good time!
  • Chris Rock is featured in Parade Magazine (in most of your Sunday newspapers) today. A small pic from Dogma is included as well as this mention of Dogma and his other projects:
Rock just released a new CD in conjunction with his latest HBO special, Chris Rock: Bigger and Blacker. He’ll also be in two upcomming movies: Dogma, a controversial film about the Catholic Church, co-starring Ben Affleck; and Nurse Betty, in which he and Morgan Freeman play hit men, due out next year.”
  • We’ve updated the DareDevil #8 page with a few errors/corrections…Thanks to all who wrote in about the stuff we missed!
  • Finally today, an article on Alanis from Rolling Stone’s web site talked a bit about Dogma and “Still”, saying that the tune may hit radio airwaves at the end of October:
Morissette says she is performing a new song on the tour called “Still.” Recorded for the soundtrack to Dogma, the November-slated Kevin Smith religious comedy in which Morissette plays God, it may be on the radio as early as Halloween.

Morissette describes “Still” as “not a ballad but not a hardcore song” addressing the Supreme Being’s view of humanity.

“I don’t consider myself to be part of any religion now,” she says, “although I was brought up a Catholic, and that probably reflects in my music.”
