- Could Donohue’s Dogma protests FINALLY be slowing with Disney out of the picture and no easy targets left? Perhaps. This brief comes to us from yesterday’s New York Daily News:
Controversy will be onscreen during the 37th annual New York Film Festival when the religious satire “Dogma†is shown, but there may not be many protesters outside the theater. William Donohue of the Catholic League, which has been lobbying against the movie for months, yesterday said that his group will not picket the festival. “I don’t want to get into the business of which theater is going to pick [â€Dogmaâ€] up,†Donohue said.
