  • We’re still waiting for answers on the Clerks DVD’s Special Features, but, as we ponder the situation, it would be ridiculous for Buena Vista to not at LEAST put on all the features from the laserdisc. We’d say 90% chance you’ll see all that stuff, even though it hasn’t been officially announced yet. Now if we could only get them doing 16:9 transfers…
  • A scooper checks in with this interesting tidbit on the Clerks figures: Kevin apparently stated that they’ll actually be only available in Black & White! If this is true, it’s a pretty cool idea, if you ask us.
  • Folks continue to write us and swear that outlets are reporting Dogma indeed IN for Cannes. If this is so, we’re not surprised, since we’ve predicted it ever since we first laid eyes on the flick, but we’ll still hold out for an “official” announcement.
  • We’ve finally got the text from the Clerks/Star Wars bit that appears in this month’s edition of Premiere Magazine that we’ve been hearing so much about. Along with a small picture of Dante and Randal, the text reads:
“Over the past twenty years, Star Wars references have bored their way into most everything pop-cultural. Perhaps the most unusual and elaborate example on film can be found in Kevin Smith’s 1994 no-budget slacker comedy, Clerks. Below, the movies two loquacious convenience store lazy boys, Dante (Brian O’Halloran) and Randal (Jeff Anderson), and an interloping costumer (Thomas Burke) deconstruct the morality of the rebellion against the empire in Return of the Jedi.”
  • Finally today: Been waiting for DareDevil #6? The good news? We’ve got a date. The bad news? It’s 2 weeks away. Expect DD#6 to finally arrive on shelves April 28th. We’ll keep ya posted on this date as well as the timetable for Kevin’s last 2 issues, 7 and 8.
