- New Jersey Online has done something very cool – They’ve taken ALL their Kevin Smith stories from the archives and created a special section! They plan to also place any NEW articles they write there, along with the nice collection from past years.
- A few of you wrote in regarding the new IFC commercial with Brendan Fraser due to its Chasing Amy mention. Here’s a viewer recap:
Simple premise: Brendan Fraser playing himself sits in on a film class where an old man who speaks with a heavy, somewhat unidentifiable yet strangely german sounding accent (I think it was meant to be funny) is asking his students what the greatest love story was to be captured on film. A girl raises his hand, says Titanic, and is brow beaten by the professor. Brendan raises his hand and says Chasing Amy. Herr Doktor says something to the effect of :”Ahh, the story about the straight guy and the lesbian girl with the funny voice. Now there’s a movie…”etc. End commercial.
- Finally, on the lighter side of things today, NetFlix, a way cool way to rent DVD’s online, has added the upcoming Clerks to their lineup. Check out the films their database RELATES it to, though! “Friday” (huh?), “Dazed And Confused” (well, MAYBE), and “Police Academy”. HAHAHAH!!! Wonder if Steve Guttenberg is a View Askew fan?
Okay, I’m REALLY tired. Time to unwind with some MTV Real World. Alcoholic lesbians, fighting, and nudists. Aaah…
