• E! News Daily ran a VERY nice segment on Dogma today, better than the Entertainment Tonight stuff if you ask us. It contained lots of different shots/scenes from Dogma, as well as some behind the scenes info, press junket comments from the crew, and more. We’ve got a streaming RealVideo copy of the segment for your viewing pleasure.

• Hey there. We’re finally getting back into the swing of things this week, though we’re going to delay the poll topic change until NEXT Sunday since many of you didn’t catch the Dogma trailer until this past weekend. Speaking of Dogma, I’m still trying to get time to write my review of the flick, I don’t want to rush it, so please sit tight, and rest assured it WILL be taken care of.

Downtime yesterday was attributed to problems with the domain folks, not the server, so we’re hoping that doesn’t happen again. We’ll keep ya posted. If you ever have trouble reaching us, let us know, we want to be aware of it. Try us again in a few minutes if that happens, though, it usually passes quickly.

A few tidbits today, mostly remnants of the Dogma screenings in Toronto from fans and critics alike (See the Dogma RC Press Page exclusively for that), and the usual other Newsbites that we get in regularly. Enjoy.

• VCR Alert: Kevin’s segment on Space Ghost: Coast To Coast re-airs on the Cartoon Network this Friday night at 11 PM EST. It was a funny appearance, and one ya may wanna get on tape for posterity.
• The Digital Bits website reports that Alliance, the Candian company that released the Good Will Hunting Special Editionand soon plans to release a special From Dusk ‘Til Dawn and the Chasing Amy DVD, reported that they will be discontinuingtheir practice of releasing different DVDs than their US coutnerparts, Buena Vista. This is bad news since, traditionally,Buena Vista’s releases have been lacking in extras, with Alliance picking up the slack. Because of this, the US was importingtons of these discs from Canada, since the demand was higher for a product that offered more bang for the buck. With Shakespeare In Love released as Disney’s first 16:9 title though, we’re hopeful that future Buena Vista releases WILLcontain the quality enhancements and extras that Alliace helped to pioneer.

As far as we know, this will NOT affect the Chasing Amy release, as the disc is already in process for an October 12th shelfdate. It may be the last of the breed, though, but hey, in case it’s another year or two before another version of Amycomes out Stateside, we’re happy that Alliance managed to get this one though. If we DO hear the disc is called off, we’llinform you immediately.

• Kevin appeared on the Canadian late night talk show, Open Mike, With Mike Bullard on Monday night. We believe that thecomplete version of our big Dogma scene was shown (the airport scene with the couple from the opening with Matt & Ben), soif anyone taped it, we’d love a copy.

• Finally today, here’s a couple of guys who created some pretty spiffy little costumes to honor two of their favorite superheroes. Here you’ll see Greg as “Chronic” & Frank as “Bluntman”. Looks damned good. Nice work, gents.
