- Just days after Kevin had the crowd and the net all buzzing about the possibility of Good Will Hunting being mentioned or Will’s appearance in View Askew 5 comes this story from today’s Houston Chronicle. Not only is this the first real script tidbit/detail we have on View Askew 5, but it’s a spoiler if you don’t want the joke ruined. So, as always, read at your own risk by swiping the text below:
After making The Bourne Identity, a thriller filming in Europe, Damon hopes towork with Smith again. He described a cameo Smith already has written for himand Affleck, mocking their status as Hollywood big shots.
“It’s a scene with Ben and me just selling out,” Damon said. “We’re making GoodWill Hunting II and trying to get as much money as we can.
We’re in a scene in a bar, and Ben says, ‘You’ve lost your edge,’ and I say, ‘I haven’t lost my edge. It’s hunting season!’ then pull out a gun while (director) Gus Van Sant is at the monitor counting a stack of money.”
Damon laughs at the thought. Four years ago, he wasn’t thinking about sequels;he was thinking about survival.
“That’s why I don’t complain now about anything,” he said. “I can tolerate thetreadmill. I really do enjoy the work. This is what I want to do.”
