  • This week, the Royal at 608 College in Toronto, Ontario, Canaca, will host a retrospective of Kevin’s flicks. The event happens from November 12th through the 15th, in which you can catch all 5 of his flicks up on the big screen. The first night features a double bill of Clerks and Chasing Amy. Don’t miss it!
  • Clerks: The Animated Series will air on Australian TV’s Comedy Channel (Cable Station) in December. They’re set to play all the episodes in the proper order (not as originally aired in the States when they started on ABC).The shows start on December 7th at 7 PM Eastern Australia Summer Time.
  • In other cartoon news: The final chapter to Brian Lynch’s “MONKEY MAN ON THE MOON” four-part cyber comic book series is up at the Angry Naked Pat website. You can read the whole story now, so be sure and stop it to check it out, it’s worth it! Look for the Monkeyman comic book to hit store shelves this Spring. You can say you were among the first to witness the character in all his glory.
  • And speaking of Australia, Kings Comics is having a premiere screening of J&SBSB on Wednesday the 21st of November at 7 PM in Sydney. You can prepurchase tix at all Kings Comics, Fox studio’s outlet. Prices are $12.50 for a regular pass, and $25.00 for a “La premiere ticket”, of which their are only 40 prime seats.
  • The new issue of IFCrant, the Independent Film Channel magazine, features a small article called ‘When Harry Met Indie’ detailing author Erika Youngs’ thoughts on Indie directors taking a shot at Harry Potter. Here’s the portion you might find enjoyable:

“Yo yo yo, muthaf——-!” “Convenience-cottage” clerk life in Red Hogs-Bank, New Jersey, is filled with the steady hum of microwaving Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Bean Burritos and the continued pilfering of packs of Kools under the eye of surveillance owls. Harry and his pals Silent Ron and “Jay” Hermione Granger spend their days discussing the nastiest things one can do with a stick of Drooble’s Best Blowing Gum and a pumpkin pasty.

  • More UK Press: Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back was voted movie of the month by this month’s Maxim UK. The trailer for the flick can also be found on the CD inside UK Playstation 2 magazine PSW.
  • Matt Damon made a surprise guest appearance on SNL last night, in a sketch with host Gwyneth Paltrow.
