- Kevin cryptically posted this new version of the Rosario (as Becky) poster today, but didn’t mention if this teaser would replace that previous Rosario in leather shot that so many folks (present company included) dug. This image certainly represents her character in the film better (we certainly don’t recall the black leather in the film, and we’re pretty sure we WOULD recall such an outfit), so it could just be a marketing thing. We’ll see what we can find out. Still worth hanging on your wall regardless, of course.

Clerks II: TV Ad HERE!
- YouTube does it again! Here’s the Clerks II TV ad that’s now airing in select markets , though we warn you, some spoilers contained inside including one BIG one…So watch at your own risk. Also interesting is the “This Film Is Not Yet Rated” tag on the end…Though the R has been approved, we guess it’s not official yet or something. So, we’ll wait for that R-tagged ad, in the meantime, enjoy this, the first of what we’re sure are many Clerks II ads to come.
As always, we recommend going in totally cold on Kev’s flicks, the surprises are so much more fun (and this one really does twist around a lot)…But of course, it’s there if you wanna peep it. Enjoy.

- Bruce checks in from Houston with a nice summary of Brian & Jeff’s appearance on KTBZ Radio this morning, which confirms the theatrical podcast:
“I heard Jeff and Brian this morning on KTBZ in Houston talking about ‘Clerks II’. They talked about their careers in VA productions as well as how they each met Kevin. Mentioned a podcast to be available for free download a week after the 7/22 release that will synch up with the movie, so you can get behind-the-scenes info before the DVD comes out. DJs were geeked out about meeting the guys, as they are big fans of all of Kevin’s movies. All-in-all, a good interview. Made me want to see the flick even sooner.”
- The IMDB’s “Truly Trivial” repeats one from a few years back, but in case you missed it, or are rough on your View Askew history, check this one out:
This Oscar-winning actress turned down the role of God in Dogma, which later went to Alanis Morissette. (answer)
- Kevin gets some props at Pop Culture site 411mania today when one of its members discusses his desire for a remake of the film “Spies Like Us”:
3) Spies Like Us – Kevin Smith may have eventually missed out on remaking Fletch but this other Chevy Chase flick could do with a dust off. I know everyone loves Jay and Silent Bob and I would love to see Jason Mewes and Smith transplant themselves into the role of bogus spies used to distract the enemy is comedy gold waiting for mining. It would also be nice to see this particular dynamic duo trying on different characters for once.
Call us crazy, but it could be funny. See ya later!
