  • We’re putting this just as a newsbite since we think it’s a ridiculous (but humorous) rumor that started on the website “The Insider Report” that someone sent in. Take nothing away from this, we just wanted to let ya know that we saw it. We must agree that if indeed it were true, it certainly would be a VERY new direction for Kevin. But we just think it’s really funny anyway:
Kevin Smith’s New Project – 3/17/00 8:51:49 AM

Sent in, we won’t mention any names, but rumor has it that Kevin Smith has started production on a new film. It has no known actors and he is trying to keep it very quiet. He is reportedly filming a movie about the circus and its freak shows. There are three main characters who are all midgets, who were chosen from somewhere Northwestern US.

  • A roundtable discussion featuring Kevin and some other indie film icons appears in the new issue of The Nation. Youcan read the entire transcription at their website HERE.

The Invincible Iron Man #28

  • Looks like Joe Quesada’s up to his old tricks…A blatant Kev/Dogma reference appears in The Invincible Iron Man #28.Click the thumb above for a full look (the obvious Dogma plug’s been highlighted).

Dogma DVD

  • We’re not sure if we posted this yet or not, but just in case, here’s the new cover art for the Dogma DVD, courtesy ofDVD Express.
  • Finally today, from the new US Magazine, they ask celebs what they remember from their night at the Oscars:
Matt Damon:

“We forgot to thank Kevin Smith. And we were doing Dogma at the time. We’d just left the Dogma set in Pittsburgh to go to the Academy Awards, so it was strange that he was the one person we forgot. He had a huge hand in getting the movie made.”
