  • Kevin again gets a mention regarding his love of the Degrassi series in a new TV Guide online article. Nothing major, just a passing mention. If you wanna read the piece, check it out HERE.
  • Gene Hackman has joined Jason Lee, Sigourney Weaver, and Jennifer Love Hewitt in “Breakers”, which will start productionsoon and is Lee’s next project.
  • Finally today, Affleck posted on his web board, and we thought you’d be interested:
Spent last night watching the Oscars from home (a relief after two hectic years in attendance) and had a great time. The benefits of watching from the comfort and privacy of one’s own home are myriad–and until several years ago entirely underappreciated by me.

I did go to a few parties afterward (best of both worlds, I guess) and had fun. Vanity Fair is always a strange and wonderful experience for the bizzarre mix of people it attracts and the Miramax party has become a staple experience for me as of late.

Today I find myself in Hawaii, preparing to head off to “boot camp” (actually only a week long–but done entirely in 1940’s period style) in preparation for Pearl Harbor. I can’t wait. They claim we’ll get to go up in some period planes, fire period weapons, learn to march, salute and all the rest of the fun suff (I’m secretly hoping they don’t consider KP duty an integral part of the research/training experience.)

Thanks for stopping by, more updates after “boot.”

  • Well, if you’ve been reading the site the past few days you’ve noticed that there’s been rumblings of the Chasing Amy DVD’s arrival this June, and now Criterion has indeed confirmed this. Thanks to a post on DVD File, we’ve verified that the disc is planned for release this summer, and will indeed feature all the good stuff from the packed Amy laser from a few years back, AND a brand new anamorphic transfer. Thank goodness! As soon as we get a definite date (online DVD sites are still saying June 13th), we’ll post it here.
