- A scooper also sends up details of Nike coomercial #2, airing nationwide during footballgames on Sunday:
I was watching the WB Network (don’t ask why), and I saw another Nikecommerical with Mewes in it. It’s basicly the same thing as the bridgeone, only it’s on a basketball court. Mewes tells some b-ball player towear the shoes to be nicer to the ground. He also makes a joke about howyour “Your not dribbling, your passing! The ground passes it back toyou!”. Then at the end he says something about how he loves the ground, and gets down to kiss it, and says something like “HEY! Who put this gumhere?!”
- Captain Comics, a syndicated column on comicbook collecting, reports (in the October 4th column):

Jay & Silent Bob, against allexpectations, have made a successful transition to a very funny comic bookat Oni Press. Go figure.”
