• A scooper stopped in Red Bank this weekend, and found a really nice plug for Dogma in the town’s entertainment guide. Here’s a couple of scans. Click the thumbs for the big’uns.

• We all know Kevin won that #1 director award from the Entertainment Weekly poll we mentioned a few weeks ago. Here’s a few other stats you may be interested in, as well:

• Jeremy London is on “Hollywood Squares” all this week. Check it out, he may just say something funny.

• That Jay and Silent Bob poster that was handed out at the Benefit Screening is now available for sale – and as an extra, it comes signed by Jason Mewes as well. $10.00 each. ORDER HERE!

• Also finally available, for free download of course, is that Scott Mosier and stuffed dog outtake. Download it at the official Dogma site’s multimedia area.

• We’ve got a TON of promotional television and radio spots from Kevin & the gang this week – Let it be known that the cast and crew are REALLY giving their all in promoting Dogma, no doubt about it!

• On MTV’s The Hot Zone, Ananda Lewis hangs out with the cast of Dogma all week. Today she interviewed Kevin. It should repeat again tonight at 1:30am. In between the videos (whoa, MTV shows VIDEOS? Since when?) you can see a interview with Kevin plus a few scenes from the movie. Tomorrow Ananda hangs out with Linda Fiorentino.
• Ben Affleck hits Craig Kilborn’s Late Late Show on November 12th, this Friday. Jason Lee will be on the program next week, on November 18th.
• Kevin Smith will be on WNYC’s New York & Co., a daily talk/interview show, this Friday (11/12). You can find them at AM820 on the dial. They also archive and post all interviews on their website. It should be there by the end of the day Monday (11/15).
• Looks like we were wrong – Howard Stern WILL host Kevin again this soon, even though he WAS just on a month or two ago. This is GREAT news, because Howard reaches a TON of listeners nationwide, and is a big fan of Kevin’s, so this will be some fantastic promotion for Dogma. Right now, it’s scheduled for 9 AM this Wednesday, but MAY get bumped back to Friday’s show.
• Kevin & Chris Rock are scheduled for CBS’s Early Show this Wednesday, as well.
• Salma Hayek will be on NBC‘s “Later Today” tomorrow (Tuesday) to talk about Dogma. They showed clips of her strip scene in the promotions today.
• Kevin appears on Dr. Drew’s www.drdrew.com (of LoveLine fame) radio program this Friday.
• PlayTV, a video streaming website, plans to show new footage of a roundtable discussion with Kevin (as well as footage from the Red Bank screening) this Thursday, November 11th, on the Will Wilkins show. Will’s show airs at 10 PM PACIFIC. And check out this lineup: Shots of The Stash, Kevin’s addressing the Theatre 2 crowd before the showing, a 15 minute interview with Vincent Pereira, and one complete song sung by the lovely and talented Kim during her set. They stream out live via both Real Player and Microsoft Media Player.

• Mostly radio stations having screenings this week, gearing up for the national Dogma release on Friday. Remember, we’re not listing the college screenings here, since that list remains on the official site. Here are the new ones:

• There will be a public screening in Seattle, coordinated by 107.7 KNDD “The End.” It happens Wednesday, the 10th at the Uptown Theatre on Queen Anne at 7:00 PM. Passes are at Car Toys in downtown Seattle on Denny Way. There were still some left at presstime.
• The radio station 101.5 KZON in Arizona is giving away Dogma tickets TONIGHT. The flick will screen this Wednesday.

• We realize that there hasn’t been a lot of variety in the news lately here, but hey, when you’ve got a new flick coming out in less than a week, this is what happens! Thus, today brings us more…you guessed it…press stuff on Dogma. We’ve thrown all of it over on RC for your reading pleasure. We can’t stress enough, folks: PLEASE check Dogma RC for articles and reviews before sending them in. We’ve had oodles of e-mails today on stuff that’s been on RC for a few days. Sorry for being so blunt about it, but we just can’t post all this stuff on News Askew directly. There’s too much! So, for the next couple of weeks, articles and reviews will definitely being appearing on the Dogma RC “articles and reviews” page exclusively. At least, that’s the plan.

Also, again we apologize to any of our friends who read this site and are receving late replies to e-mails. Nothing personal, we’re just a little bogged down at the moment. Please don’t take it personally.

Finally, Lions Gate wanted us to extend their thanks to all of you for your increased traffic to the site, for supporting the flick, and what we’re sure will be a great opening weekend. Keep in mind that opening weekend is really the most important one for a flick, since it usually determines the course the movie will take, so be sure and drop everything to see Dogma THIS WEEKEND, and encourage all your friends (heck, send your enemies too) to go and see it! If you’re visiting this page, of course, you’re probably gonna be first in line on Friday anyway, but we just thought we’d make sure. Sources are telling us that Dogma’s coming into theaters EVERYWHERE, so Lions Gate is doing a great job at making this a WIDE release, easily the widest ever for a View Askew film.
